What is Red Light Therapy

Treatment using Red Light Therapy Device is a relatively new option that is rapidly gaining popularity. When you first hear about red light therapy, you probably have a lot of questions. With so many scientific terms and hard-to-pronounce words like "photobiomodulation", you're probably scratching your head.

Red light therapy uses devices equipped with special LED chips that emit specific wavelengths. These purpose-built light devices range from hand-held units to larger, full-body systems that can be tailored to treat specific areas and effectively address individual needs.

Red Light Therapy vs Infrared Saunas

An infrared saunas harnesses far-infrared to directly warm your body, deeply penetrating your skin for a soothing heat that loosens muscles more effectively than traditional saunas.

Operating by triggering a beneficial heat stress similar to exercise, infrared saunas boost cardiovascular health and promote detoxification.

Meanwhile, red light therapy, also referred to as low-level light therapy, utilizes red and near-infrared light to penetrate cells and bolster internal processes.

Through its precise photobiomodulation effects, red light therapy concentrates on enhancing cellular health and delivering targeted advantages such as skin revitalization, overall cell function enhancement, boosted circulation, and support for optimal recovery.

How does Red Light Therapy work

Full body red light therapy works by using low-level red and near-infrared light wavelengths to penetrate the skin and reach deeper tissues.

These light wavelengths are absorbed by the mitochondria in cells, boosting their energy production and enhancing cellular function. This process helps to reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and promote healing and repair.

The therapy can stimulate collagen production, which benefits skin health, and supports overall tissue regeneration, making it effective for reducing pain, improving muscle recovery, and rejuvenating the skin.
